Work with “The Refuge of Hope Mission Perú”, about 90 minute to the east of Lima. The Strider will primarily serve in our before- and after-school program. The ideal candidate will assist students with their homework and teach English classes while intentionally building relationships that lead to opportunities for evangelism and discipleship among children and teens.
If the Strider has experience in STEAM, computer skills, or robotics, these abilities would be a valuable asset to our program. Additionally, the Strider will support special events throughout the year, such as our Summer School Program, Vacation Bible School, and Christmas activities, and will assist with Bible studies, monthly parent meetings, and other daily operational needs according to their skill set.
The Strider will need to complete the child safety process, which includes a background check from their home country, a sexual abuse prevention course, and signing the child safety policy. We also ask that they read When Helping Hurts by Steve Corbett and Brian Fikkert prior to arriving to serve.
Our association in Peru is called Misión Refugio de Esperanza Perú. Our partner organization, Refuge of Hope Peru, provides vision and financial support. You can follow weekly updates about our ministry on Refuge of Hope Peur’s Facebook and Instagram.
