Some agencies prefer to cover everything from candidate pool to placement all within their own structures. Our way of working is to include churches, projects and a host of other organisations and agencies in the selection, sending, placing and care of personnel. We are about interdenominational ministry within a wide ranging evangelical context. In seeking personnel, we work with churches and Christian training centres to see how we can help them release people into fruitful mission. We also match professionals with needs.
National and continental mission networks form the backdrop to many of our strongest relationships. If you represent one of these and we can serve you in some way, please let us know.
In placing people, we make formal partnership agreements at international and national levels as appropriate, as well as other more fluid arrangements between individual Latin Link members and the churches or projects they work with.
We are open to co-operating with other groups, including business sponsors who may want a focus for their commitment to social responsibility and are willing to identify with Latin Link and its aims.
So please have a look at what we believe and what we do, and get in touch with your ideas about how we might work together.
Partners and sponsors
As Latin American churches rise to the global challenge of mission, Latin Link has been pleased to establish partnerships and seconding arrangements with key Latin American mission agencies and other related networks across the world.
In the Americas
Partnerships that Latin Link has in Latin America include Pueblos Musulmanes Internacional and Federación Misionera Evangélica Costarricense. Both are part of Cooperación Misionera Iberoamericana (COMIBAM), an umbrella organisation for mission across Latin America.
Latin Link is privileged to relate to the Fraternidad Teológica Latinoamericana through its local expressions in places where members work, and the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students in universities across the region.
In North America, Latin Link has a wide-ranging partnership with Latin America Mission (LAM) in Toronto, Canada, and United World Mission in the USA, which includes the facility to make financial arrangements.
Across Latin America, members are involved with many different national projects. For example, Latin Link has partnered with Southern Theological Seminaries in Argentina to provide accessible theological training for evangelical church communities in the south of the country. Letra Viva, the network of Christian publishers in Spanish-speaking Latin America.
Internationally
Latin Link members are part of a number of international networks including Viva, which works on behalf of vulnerable children.
In Europe
In Europe, Latin Link also partners with sending agencies, such as the German and Swiss mission fellowships. We have received people through denominational sending boards such as the Finnish Evangelical Free Church. In these cases, their people benefit from our team structures in Latin America.
In Britain and Ireland
In the UK, Kingdom Coffee works with Latin Link and our associated charities to invest back into the countries where they source their coffee.
At a national level, Latin Link is a member of Global Connections – a network of UK agencies, churches, colleges and support services linked together for resources, learning and representation.
In Northern Ireland, Latin Link is a member of MAP, a group of about 50 mission agencies that work together to promote the challenge of world mission and the opportunities for people to become involved in the mission mandate to the Church.
In Ireland, Latin Link is a member of iMAP – an initiative joining together Irish mission agencies and the Irish Church to develop their desire to see the Gospel advanced in Ireland and abroad.
